Manchester City UK Summer Camp

The Pro11 Football Academy took some of their Academy players on a UK footballing trip to the home of Manchester City Football Club during the 11th to the 18th of August 2018.

There were two camps over the same dates, split by age groups of 8 to 11 years and 12 to 17 years. Both camps were held at the state of the art Manchester City's Etihad Campus and provided an invaluable insight into the life of a professional footballer.

The programme was led by Manchester City Football Schools coaches and specialists who allowed students to discover how Manchester City's inspiring City Football Academy provides the best possible environment for young players to take their game to the next level.

Through a series of training sessions, workshops and tests delivered by the Manchester City football coaches, players were able to develop all aspects of their individual game, focusing on Football Performance, Human Performance and Development of Talent.

It was a great initiative and opportunity for children of all abilities from all over the world to connect and engage with one another and to further develop and improve their footballing skills as well as helping to improve their English language and communication skills.

Players were under the constant supervision of the qualified and experienced coaches of the Pro11 Football Academy. After the great success of this trip, The Pro11 Academy very much look forward to the next one in the Summer of 2019!
